TavernVision started as a practical way to watch long D&D campaigns without constantly scrubbing through recaps, breaks, and technical pauses.
I built it with Astro and TypeScript, using OAuth for account-based progress tracking and YouTube embedding for playback.
The core feature is simple: keep the story moving. I built skip controls around known downtime segments, but kept manual override available at all times so viewers stay in control.
The platform embeds episodes directly, organizes shows in a clean structure, and tracks watch progress per account so users can continue across devices.
This project is mostly about pacing and usability. The goal is not flashy features, it is making long-form content easier to follow end to end.
